Watson, Harris, Kennedy, and Miller Earn NCIDQ Certification

Four of TMP’s interior designers have passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) Exam – Congratulations, Sarah Watson, NCIDQ; Kayla Harris, NCIDQ; Nicole Kennedy, NCIDQ; and Natalie Miller, NCIDQ!

Achieving NCIDQ professional accreditation is a rigorous process consisting of meeting a threshold of work experience plus passing three examinations: Interior Design Fundamentals Exam (IDFX), Interior Design Professional Exam (IDPX), and Interior Design Practicum (PRAC). Certificate holders have successfully achieved a recognized level of competency in knowledge areas including client goal analysis, building systems and codes, sustainability, design application and material selection, drawings and specifications, and contract administration.

Sarah Watson earned a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Eastern Michigan University. An Associate of the firm, she joined TMP in 2019 and leads our dynamic Interior Design Group with the objective of creating innovative environments for educational, recreation, and wellness projects.

Kayla Harris received multiple honors while earning her Bachelor of Applied Arts at Central Michigan University. She is a published professional, having co-authored an article on designing inclusive playgrounds for the Review Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders. With TMP since 2021, her natural curiosity and passion for interior design is especially well suited for K–12 educational design.

Nicole Kennedy graduated with honors from Western Michigan University with a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design. She began her career designing community gathering spaces and smoothly transitioned into K–12 school projects after joining TMP in 2022. She thrives working on teams, gathering new concepts and inspiration to develop creative learning spaces.

Natalie Miller holds a Master of Architecture along with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Bachelor of Interior Architecture, all from Lawrence Technological University. With TMP since 2021, she strives to bring color and life to educational spaces, aligning facilities with modern learning concepts.
