TMP Architecture is honored to see the Spring Lake Public Schools Laker Athletic Center recognized for Outstanding Design by American School & University in its annual Educational Interiors Showcase.
AS&U’s 2026 Educational Interiors Showcase celebrates projects that meet today’s educational challenges with creativity, innovation, and aesthetic appeal. Submissions are reviewed by a jury of architects who specialize in the education sector and facility management professionals who manage and operate school buildings. The Laker Athletic Center was nominated in the physical education facilities / recreation centers category.
Funded by the Spring Lake community’s passage of a 2023 bond proposal, the Laker Athletic Center was designed to expand year-round health and wellness opportunities. The 72,000 square foot facility hosts specialized turf practice space for multiple athletic teams and the marching band, a state-of-the-art weight room, and thoughtfully designed mezzanine for increased scheduling opportunities.
