TMP Architecture’s Novi High School Wildcat Plaza and Athletic Gateway, designed in collaboration with Novi Community School District, has earned national recognition with an Outstanding Project Award in Learning By Design Magazine’s Spring 2026 Educational Facilities Design Awards Showcase.
As part of a broader initiative to reimagine Novi High School’s south entry, the Wildcat Plaza & Athletic Gateway were designed with input from users and the community to better connect the school with its athletic fields, enhancing the overall fan and visitor experience.
Learning By Design Magazine is the premier source for education design and innovation excellence. The magazine’s jury of esteemed education, architecture, and facility design experts praised the project’s fluid movement between pavilions with thoughtful wayfinding, vertical circulation, and planting unifying the site into a clean, cohesive, and sophisticated composition.
“This project enhances the school’s athletics program by reinforcing the spectator entry experience and providing diverse seating integrated into the gently sloping site…seamlessly blending garden, sport, and circulation spaces,” read Jury comments.
All submissions to the Spring 2026 awards program were peer-reviewed by a jury of vetted education design professionals and evaluated across six criteria.
TMP appreciates the Novi Community School District’s commitment to elevating the event experience for Novi High School students, athletes, and the community.
