As part of a broader plan to update Novi High School’s south entry, the new Novi Wildcat Stadium Gateway and Plaza are designed to unite the school and its athletic fields. To enhance the Novi High School fan experience, the design team focused on completely re-imagining the exterior athletic zone into a dynamic athletic gateway dubbed “Wildcat Plaza.” The design, created with user and community input, emphasizes a spirited entry with an engaging, dynamic plaza offering fan amenities including concessions, diverse seating options, and improved restrooms.

Oriented north to south, Wildcat Plaza connects the entry, main seating, and concession pavilions. The Wildcat Café design provides cover from the elements for patrons waiting in line while retractable garage doors open the café to the plaza outside with tables and seating options. For optimized viewing, tables and seating are available on an elevated patio overlooking the track and football field. Extensive hardscaping, complemented by glass and metal-clad pavilions, creates an open, visually cohesive environment.

As visitors’ first impression of Wildcat Stadium, the new Novi High School Wildcat Stadium Gateway and Plaza foster community pride, integrate the rich traditions of Novi athletics, and enhance the overall fan experience.
