TMP Promotes Five Professionals

Bloomfield Hills, Mich., June 28, 2017 – The Board of Directors of TMP Architecture, Inc. recently promoted five professionals within the firm. John Waldrop, AIA, LEED AP was promoted to Principal and now serves as Director of Operations. Thomas Barber, AIA and Greg Farrer, CSI, CDT are now Senior Associates. Lauren M. Christenson, NCIDQ and Danielle C. O’Neal, AIA have been promoted to Associates of the firm.

John Waldrop worked for TMP from 1994 through 2001 and returned to the firm in 2015. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture from the Lawrence Technological University in 1987 and a Master of Architecture Degree from the University of Michigan in 1991. He is a registered architect and received the LEED Accredited Professional designation in 2010 from the United States Green Building Council. Waldrop has a special expertise in the project management and organization of educational and municipal projects. He has served as project manager on numerous TMP projects for Troy School District, West Bloomfield Township, and the Clinton-Macomb Public Library, among others. His excellent organization and communication skills make him a valuable team member both on projects and within the firm. Waldrop works in our Bloomfield Hills office and lives in Auburn Hills.

Thom Barber has been with TMP for over 15 years. He received a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario in 1978. Currently serving as project manager, he also has experience in programming, technical supervision, building evaluation, design, construction administration, and specifications. Barber is a key member of our Special Projects Group and has worked for such clients as Novi Community Schools, East Detroit Public Schools, and Bloomfield Hills Public Schools. He works out of our Bloomfield Hills office and lives in Bloomfield Hills.

Greg Farrer has worked out of TMP’s Portage office for nearly 20 years. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Aquinas College in 1981. He has been a registered member of the Construction Specification Institute since 2000. Farrer has been involved in the construction administration of commercial, institutional and educational facility projects. He is a former contractor who brings practical experience to each project he oversees, including projects for Niles Community Schools, Allegan Public Schools, and Constantine Public Schools. He lives in Kalamazoo.

Lauren Christenson has been with TMP since 2011. She received both a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree and a Bachelor of Interior Architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University in 2009. She passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification exam in 2013. Christenson’s role as Interior Designer has given her the opportunity to work with Northville Public Schools, Novi Community Schools, Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, and Dearborn Public Schools, among others. She is a team member in our Bloomfield Hills office and lives in Plymouth.

Danielle O’Neal joined TMP as an architectural intern in 2013. She received a Master of Architecture degree in 2005 and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree in 2003 from Texas Tech University. O’Neal became a registered architect in 2015, was the AIA Detroit Emerging Professionals Committee Chair from 2013 to 2014 and was the AIA Volunteer of the Year in 2012. O’Neal has been involved with various educational clients at TMP including Dearborn Public Schools, Port Huron Schools, University of Detroit Mercy, and Perrysburg Schools. She also worked on the new Student Fitness Center at University of Detroit Mercy. O’Neal is based out of our Bloomfield Hills office and lives in Dearborn.
