Fred J. Grunert Awarded AIA Southwest Michigan Impact Award

Fred J. Grunert, AIA, NCARB, GGP from TMP’s Kalamazoo office was awarded the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Southwest Michigan Impact Award this fall. The award isn’t automatically bestowed annually, it’s presented in recognition of recent outstanding impact in the architectural profession and community. Recipients are expected to model design excellence, mentoring and dedication to the ideals of AIA.

Fred was nominated by a fellow employee for his consistent mentoring leadership, stating “There are very few people in Kalamazoo who can say they haven’t been bettered by Fred’s influence. His dedication has left an indelible mark on the community.” Fred was also praised for his years of service to AIA and multiple award-winning projects. As Partner and Director of Project Management at TMP, his recent work includes projects for Schoolcraft Community Schools, Western School District, and Jackson Public Schools. Fred also guides TMP’s team of project managers with development and refinement of standards and processes.
