Cancer patients utilizing this new outpatient treatment center will enter a calm, encouraging space. The Dresner Center includes treatment rooms, nursing support spaces, medical teamwork areas, records storage, reception and waiting areas. At 17,022 SF, the center has the capacity to handle up to 100 patients per day. There are a total of 29 treatment rooms with beds or treatment chairs. The project included a complete demolition of an entire floor of office space and the installation of new HVAC, plumbing and electrical services. The space also allows Karmanos to expand their cancer research and clinical trials focusing on leukemia, multiple myeloma, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS).
