The newly renovated Health Sciences building addresses two critical needs for St. Clair County Community College: providing state-of-the-art facilities to educate the best health sciences professionals and allowing for growth of the health sciences programs, and to educate more students in critical health care careers to meet the statewide demand for additional health science and health care workers.

This project invested in the current building to upgrade infrastructure and to create specialized instructional space, featuring a new simulation center and other program support needs are included in a 44,336 SF addition to the existing building. The facility includes simulation labs, skills labs, simulation lab instructional areas, a lecture hall, and a multi-purpose student hall to accommodate group learning exercises or large conferences.

In addition, home emergency care and EMS training spaces were created to extend and enhance opportunities for health care support training and hands on experience.
