Students attending this project-based learning academy have access to three learning studios, two classrooms, a large entry commons and mezzanine, and a 720 SF greenhouse. A new concession kitchen and staff offices are also featured. The facility creates a home for the district’s unique alternative curriculum which centers on education through multiple learning styles. The design team worked to create an energy-efficient building, with a geothermal system and high performance spray-applied insulation to keep energy costs down. A ‘rebuild’ of the storied barn was also part of this unique project. Associated firm: Fielding Nair International
