The Board of Directors of TMP Architectecture has promoted Melanie Hall, Director of Operations/Senior Project Manager, Principal, to Vice President/Director of Operations. In her five years with the firm, Hall has emerged as a visionary leader adept at problem solving and operational efficiency. As Director of Operations, she has been instrumental in refining the firm’s staffing process and creating highly effective project teams. Hall’s organization and focus move deadline driven projects past the finish line.
“Melanie is an essential part of TMP. She makes sure the right people are in the right place creating teams that ensure great projects,” says TMP Architecture Managing Partner Derek Dinkeloo, AIA of Hall, “She uses her architectural experience to coach project teams in the office while also guiding our clients through the complex process of design and construction. If that weren’t enough, she does this all with a sense of humor and infectious positivity.”
In her new role, Hall will continue to focus on operational process refinement, leveraging resources to deliver the highest project value to clients. She will continue to mentor a team of aspiring professionals.
“There is no I in team. Our teams excel because of the engagement of the entire team, from designers to interns, engineers, and interior designers,” says Hall, “Through team collaboration and creative design, we can turn a project that starts with a tiny thought into a beautiful story.”
Hall graduated with Bachelor of Architecture from Kent State University and has over two decades of industry experience in K–12, college/university, science + technology, healthcare, workplace, and retail markets. Recently, she has been working on projects for East China School District, Royal Oak Schools, and Oakland University.
Hall resides in Ferndale with her husband Brandon and two children, Winston and Arthur, and dog Piper.
