TMP Architecture’s design of the Livonia Public Schools Early Childhood Center (ECC) has been recognized with an Outstanding Project Award in Learning By Design Magazine’s Fall 2025 Architecture and Interior Design Awards of Excellence.
A select jury of vetted education design professionals determined the Livonia ECC’s unique qualities, architectural design, and planning concepts were successfully implemented and worthy of replication by other professionals who create, have oversight of, and operate spaces for learning.
“The Livonia Early Childhood Center features sensory-rich design supporting whole-child development. Accent colors, tactile Braille wallcoverings, and textured walls promote sensory exploration and empathy,” read jury comments.
Initiating children into their first school experience, the sensory-driven design of the Livonia ECC bridges the gap between school and home with a nurturing, residential feel that is right sized for young learners. A part of Livonia Public Schools’ 2021 bond program, the ECC is the first significant new development for the district in more than five decades.
TMP is honored to serve the students and district of Livonia Public Schools on this meaningful project.
